Dr. Ebtesam Almazrouei

Dr. Ebtesam Almazrouei is recognized globally for her groundbreaking contributions to AI research and development. As the founder of AIE3, she continues to push the boundaries of AI innovation and application. Dr. Almazrouei played a pivotal role in developing the Falcon series of AI models, including Falcon 40B, the Middle East's first open-source large language model (LLM), and Falcon 180B, which became the world's most powerful open AI model in 2023. She also led the creation of NOOR, the largest Arabic LLM, in 2022.

Her expertise extends beyond research, as she actively promotes the responsible use of AI for societal benefit. Dr. Almazrouei is a Senior AI Consultant for the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and was recently appointed Chairperson of the UN's AI for Good Impact Initiative. In these roles, she works to harness AI's potential to address global challenges and achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
