William Woo, Group Chief Information Officer and Group Chief Digital Officer at Singtel, spearheads the company's digital transformation and AI initiatives. With over three decades of experience in the technology sector, Woo has been instrumental in shaping Singtel's AI strategy since joining the company in 2011.

Under Woo's leadership, Singtel has achieved significant business impact through AI implementation. The company has realized cost reductions by deploying GenAI solutions and gained productivity improvements through the implementation of LLM-based chatbots for both internal and external use. Woo's innovative approach includes adopting advanced GenAI practices for Retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and chatbot development.

Woo's vision is to establish Singtel as a GenAI powerhouse, promoting the adoption of SingtelGPT across teams. His scalable approach started small and gradually expanded in terms of user numbers and team involvement.
