Renowned Executive at the core of Data-Driven Transformation at American Express to Advise H2O.ai

Ash retired from American Express in 2018 after 40 years of continuous service and was most recently the President, Global Credit Risk and Information management – to promote company-wide innovation in risk management, marketing and service. Prior to that, for many years Ash was the company’s Chief Risk Officer reporting to the CEO and the Board and was instrumental in navigating American Express successfully through the great recession.
He is currently, a board member and Compensation Committee Chair for Encore Capital Group (NASDAQ: ECPG), board member and chair for Corridor Platforms Inc., and a board member for Nova Credit. In addition, he is a board advisor to MAPR technologies, Biz2Credit, Nexus Venture Partners, Advent International (deal advisor) and Global Consulting firm Oliver Wyman.
Ash has an MBA from Columbia University and a B. Tech in engineering from IIT Delhi (distinguished alumni, 2006). Ash serves as a board member and a Treasurer for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of New York and (as an advisory) board member for South Asian Youth Action.
